From October 28th to 31st, we were exhibiting at the German Congress for Orthopedics and Trauma Surgery (DKOU), held for the first time at the CityCube in Berlin, Germany. The new venue provided the perfect setting for a thoroughly successful and inspiring event, in keeping with this year’s motto, “Shaping progress together“.
A special highlight was the presentation of mediCAD® 8, our latest software version with:
• A brand new and modern user interface
• Seamless 2D, 3D and integrated PACS workflows in one single software
• Automatic landmark detections for faster and more precise work
• AI-supported modules for an even more intuitive und intelligent orthopedic planning
Especially, our new partial knee module received a lot of attention , which was a unique highlight for many visitors. The feedback was clear: we obtained exclusively positive feedback on the new software, not only for its function but also for its modern user interface.
Also valuable was the presentation from Professor Dr. med. Michael Hirschmann on the topic “Knee AI Phenotypes”, providing important insights into the future developments of AI-supported knee surgery and enriching the technical discussion at the congress.
“The surgeon has to find the best compromise, and he has to find it intraoperatively. The more we know about it before the operation, the more we can think about it in advance and be prepared to find these compromises. And that is the great solution that mediCAD can also offer.”
Our highlight video from DKOU 2025 shows the best moments and impressions, the enthusiasm at the booth, and the intensive conversations about our digital solution.
The congress was not only a great success professionally. It also marked the first major public appearance of our new management team, who presented mediCAD® 8 and our vision with great passion and a clear focus on the future. The numerous conversations and discussions showed how big the industry’s interest in modern digital planning tool is.
The exchange with users, partners, and any interested people confirmed that mediCAD® 8 represents an important step into the digital future of orthopedics..
We are already looking forward to DKOU 2026 and presenting even more innovations next year.
