Innovation and Professional Exchange at DKOU 2026

Four intensive days at the German Congress of Orthopaedics and Traumatology (DKOU) 2026 are now behind us. From October 20 to 23, experts from orthopaedics and trauma surgery gathered in Berlin under the congress theme “Exploring New Paths” to discuss the latest developments, innovative technologies, and future-oriented treatment concepts.

At the mediCAD booth, one topic in particular attracted significant attention: AI-powered planning. Numerous visitors took the opportunity to learn more about the use of intelligent software support in clinical planning workflows and exchange ideas with our experts.

Particular interest was shown in our new AI modules 2D Hip AI, 2D Knee AI, and 2D Osteotomy AI, which were demonstrated and tested live at the event. The discussions clearly highlighted the growing demand for efficient digital solutions in preoperative planning.

Every year, DKOU provides a valuable platform for professional exchange between clinicians, researchers, and industry partners. We would like to thank all visitors for the engaging discussions, constructive feedback, and valuable insights shared throughout the congress.

We would also like to extend our appreciation to all colleagues and partners who contributed to the success of our exhibition presence and the implementation of our booth.

We look forward to incorporating the experiences and feedback gained at DKOU into the continued development of our solution and to maintaining an ongoing dialogue with the orthopaedic and trauma surgery community.
