Digitalization in the healthcare sector is accelerating – including in the operating room. mediCAD Hectec GmbH offers a cloud-base solution for preoperative planning of implants, which clinics can use efficiently, regardless of location.
At its heart is integration into the Microsoft Azure cloud infrastructure, which means that the platform not only offers high performance and availability, but is also responsible for certified data security (including GDPR compliance).
Patient data is processed in encrypted form and the software can be used directly via the browser without local installation – ideal for hospital networks or interdisciplinary teams.
The IT effort is minimal, updates are automatic and the solution scales flexibly with demand. The software offers precise 2D planning options as well as access to an implant database with over 500,000 components – for the precise preparation of hip, knee and long leg operations as well as dimensioning within radiology.
Depending on the infrastructure, three models can be implemented:
Microsoft is increasingly operating its Azure data centers with renewable energy – an aspect that is becoming increasingly important for modern clinics with sustainability goals.
mediCAD Web therefore stands for digital precision in orthopaedics – secure, flexible and ready for the OR of tomorrow.
